This Lovely Life Travels: Top 5 Places in Paris, France

Top 5 favorite places to visit in:

Paris, France

  1. Eiffel Tower

This site is an icon of not only Paris but of the world as it is one of the most recognizable landmarks. With that being said, this is a must-see when in Paris. The Eiffel Tower is absolutely stunning. With a purchase of tickets, you can take an elevator ride to the top to see an overview of Paris’ lovely streets and parks. Although the Eiffel Tower is beautiful day and night, I personally recommend making it a point to visit this monument during the evening. At night, the lights will blink every hour on the hour and it is absolutely incredible and of course, romantic! PS: If you opt to take an elevator ride to the top, bring a jacket as it can get a little chilly with the wind!

  1. Breizh Cafe

Simply put, you cannot go to Paris and not eat crepes. After all, crepes are one of France’s most beloved street foods! These super thin pancakes are sold on nearly every street corner in Paris and for good reason! They come in savory and sweet flavors and highly recommend ordering one of each to give both a try! When I first looked at the menu and saw some of the savory crepe options Breizh Cafe offered, I was shocked as I originally thought crepes were a dessert-only kind of dish. Although, I would love to sit in this little creperie for hours, be prepared to wait in line, order, eat and give up your table as the line for Breizh Cafe pours out into the streets!IMG_6977

  1. Notre Dame Cathedral

Notre-Dame de Paris is a Roman Catholic cathedral. It is probably one of the most recognizable cathedrals of the entire world due to it’s French Gothic architecture. It is filled with sculptures as well as infamous gargoyles that adorn the roof of this cathedral. The walk around this cathedral is gorgeous but the walk up to the top is even better! Although it is a 387 step climb, it is well worth it as once you get to the top you can see the gargoyles up close and gain an unbelievable panoramic view of the Paris region!

  1. Musee du Louvre (Louvre Museum)

The Louvre is the most visited art museum in the world. It is located in the heart of Paris so there is no reason not to pay this place a visit! It is truly amazing however it can be overwhelming as there is just so much to see! There are so many world famous pieces of art inside this museum, the most recognizable being the Mona Lisa. With that being said, there are also crazy amounts of tourists trying to do the same thing as you. This is why I recommend visiting early in the morning and paying for a guide as it helps you make the most of your visit to this gem!IMG_6975(1)IMG_6978

  1. Cruise on the Seine

Who doesn’t love a boat ride? Especially a boat ride through the most romantic city in the world? This is another Parisian must I recommend visiting at night. When the sun sets, you can see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and Pont Alexandra III (to name a few) gorgeously lit. Although I had already visited these monuments, seeing them from a different angle while also observing the bridges and remarkable skyline just felt like I was getting all of Paris in one shot! What a great way to end my stay!IMG_6979
