It’s always best to get your vitamins and nutrients from food, but in case we’re not getting everything we need from the foods we eat, there are some staple supplements we take daily that are beneficial to your health.
Fish Oil: Same as why Salmon is so good for you, this healthy fat is good for your heart, brain, joints, etc etc
Turmeric: This one does a lot.. pain management, anti-inflammatory, and research shows anti-cancer benefits. It can also be used as a cooking spice.
Activated Charcoal: Great for digestion, bloating, and gas. It also helps cleanse the digestive system and fight against illness.
Biotin: Who doesn’t want stronger, thicker hair!? Biotin helps with that. You’ll also have stronger nails, so don’t be surprised when they grow a bit faster then normal.
Vitamin D: Well it’s best to get this one directly from the sun. But if you’re like us and don’t get much time in the sun, this supplement can help give you some of the same benefits: healthy skin, bones, mood enhancement, etc.
CoQ10: Coenzyme Q10 is a great supplement to support a healthy heart… all we really need to know about this one.
Vita Fol (Prenatal – prescription): This one is just for me 😉 We all know it’s beneficial to take these while pregnant, but it’s still very helpful after pregnancy because they’re high in folic acid, iron and calcium. They can also help ensure your baby’s healthy development (while breastfeeding).
